In this conversation, we engage professional artists from various media to discuss the process of birthing an idea, from the seed of an idea to a fully realised work. We discuss how commissioned work can be interpreted through a conceptual lens and how to patiently bring a work to life. The demand of artists today is to make work quickly for social media and for sale, but the process of developing an idea needs to be kept safe from these demands.
