Arisha Maharaj is a passionate art specialist and consultant specialising in South African modern and contemporary art. She has been an art specialist at the leading African auction house Strauss & Co since 2016. She recently completed her Master’s degree through the University of Witwatersrand in 2021 and holds a Fine Art degree with honours. Arisha is well versed in managing collections, gathering artworks for auction as well as the curatorial aspects of displaying and cataloguing artwork. She is qualified to address any enquiries related to paintings, watercolours, drawings, prints and new media. Arisha notably co-curated the recent legacy exhibition Dream Invisible Connections: Dorothy Kay and Mary Sibande, Strauss & Co 11 July 2022 – 12 August 2022.
