INKA KENDZIA is a director and visual artist, having worked internationally as a motion designer and animation director on movies and documentaries, among them Ron Howard’s Grammy winning ‘The Beatles – eight days a week’. In her visual art she explores the body as a site of memory and our interconnectedness to nature, creating immersive Projection artworks incorporating new media like VR and exhibiting these internationally.

Collaborations with FaithXLVII have been seen in New York, Miami, Berlin with Manthe Ribane and in Cape Town at the Design Indaba 2019 with PURE performing AURUM. Both Aurum and the Projection mapped Mural AD PACEM created for BLiNK in Cincinnati incorporate a narrative alluding to borders, immigration, freedom of movement, peaceful protest, government oppression and the strength of the human spirit in overcoming these challenges.

For Playtopia2 in 2019, Inka together with Jason Stapleton, Noël Labridy and Sean Ou Tim created an immersive VR experience THE FOREST INHALES YOU featuring projection art and video mapping , this was shown internationally at VR HAM. During lockdown, she created META | m o r p h as an interactive “choose your own journey” online experience fusing dance, projection art, music and lidar scans, collaborating with Darkroom Contemporary.
