Mr Menzi Mkhwane is a Naledi award winning actor, independent producer, director and published playwright.
After completing his studies at the Durban University of Technology and graduated Cum Laude. He started working in Holland where he was selected as one of four South Africans featuring in the Dutch/English version of Oliva Twist.
On his return he worked closely with his father staring in a ground breaking production called Belly of the Beast based on the history of the MK fighters.
He started creating his own work while developing his profile as a performer and landed a leading role as one of the cast members in the multi award winning production of HORN OF SORROW.
In developing his voice as a director he started being invited to conduct masterclasses at university level including AFDA, UKZN and DUT.
Mr Menzi Mkhwane runs and owns his own theatre company Menzi Mkhwane Creations with full time staff. In this capacity as a CEO and Founder his team of actors tour to over 170 schools in KZN including producing stage adaptations of novels studied at IEB schools across the country.
Menzi Mkhwane continues to create work and develop new programs under his company that affect change in his industry.
