Siphokazi Ngxokolo- Bili is a vocalist, creative arts practitioner, scholar and educator from
Mdantsane, East London.
She has been a regular feature at some of the leading music and arts education faceted ventures in
the Eastern Cape . Siphokazi has presented and facilitated at various platforms like SASRIM , JCFI
Basadi Women in Arts and Mandela Bay Theatre Complex Ingoma Music Conference and Exhibition
amongst others. She has also adjudicated and facilitated for numerous arts
developmental/management skills training workshops that capacitate artists. Siphokazi is also part
of legacy projects like the Guild Theatre Jazz in Schools program and the Jazz Against Apartheid , an
international project that builds sustainable creative development and education amongst artists.
Siphokazi’s associations have been with the South African Association for Jazz Education (SAJE), the
University of Fort Hare Music Department as a former Associate Music and Arts Administration
lecturer and the Guild Theatre Artists in Schools Program. Siphokazi is passionate about outreach
and community engagement in the Arts in particularly jazz music education and strives to develop to
bridge the gap between informal and formal music education in the work that she advocates for.
